Witch Hazel is astringent, antiseptic and haemostatic.  It is mildly anti-inflammatory and is effective for mild damaged to the skin such as insect bites, fissure and cracks.  It is also effective against bruising, localised inflammation, wounds, ulceration, rashes, itchy skin, fragile capillaries, burns, sunburn, bleeding wounds and general skincare.
